Intro by Tim Lindop (thanks Timmy):
Many of you would have seen me at training in Centennial Park since I was welcomed to join the Rejoov Running team but many more won’t know much more and Greta has asked if I can give you all a brief rundown.
I came to ‘The Lucky Country’ many years ago now from the U.K and fell not only in love with the country but all the outdoor things it has to offer and allow for everything healthy in helping us with our fitness goals.
Played a lot of football (proper footy – soccer) back home but wasn’t long into getting into the running regime once my footy legs started to give out, soon after completed in the first of many City to Surf runs that I still do today.
I got my all my qualifications in Personal Training and despite still running competitively my real passion is helping others achieve their goals, whether it’s their first 5k Fun Run or making the start line for the ultimate in running – a Marathon over the 42ks.
You will nearly always find me at any given race on the local calendar as well as interstate ( and even overseas) and although we ALL want good times and PBs along the way it’s also about the journey and experience shared with our training partners that makes it all the more enjoyable.
Love all the social aspects that come with the training, and even more my holidays when the opportunities come along to getaway to recharge the batteries on a nice beach with good food and a cold beer.
Looking forward to helping all the Rejoov team achieve their goals so please do not hesitate to let me know of any races that you are targeting.
Spring is just around the corner, so now is the time to set those goals.
See you all at training.
