About Run Leader Emma Trehy
I was lucky to find Rejoov Runners over 7 years ago (in 2013) with the aim of getting fit after the birth of my daughter. Little did I know the impact that such a positive, encouraging and fun group would have, helping me to realise just how much I love to run.
This passion has helped me achieve my own running goals including my first and subsequent Half Marathons (which remain my favourite distance), but I also found a drive to help others find their love of running.
This led me to become a Level 2 Athletics NSW Accredited Running Coach and I also found Achilles Australia through whom I trained to become a guide for visually impaired runners and walkers - a completely different but really rewarding running challenge.
What running gives me in terms of mental and physical health, friendships and sense of achievement can’t be beaten. I love both road running and exploring on the trails and have found you can’t beat a good ‘runcation’ combining a race and travel either interstate or overseas. My absolute favourite place to run is Queenstown, NZ.
