Coach & athlete

Greta is an extremely well equipped coach to assist runners of all levels with her background in coaching, athletics, triathlon, sports massage and occupational therapy. She understands the balance required across all ages and stages of life. She is our head coach for the Rejoov Running groups & online running programs together with Chris, based in Centennial Park, Eastern Suburbs, Sydney. 

Greta has broad qualifications in health and fitness (including Athletics Australia Level 2) and has been strongly involved in competitive sport for 20 years. She sustains a holistic focus and utilises best practice methods in sports medicine on how to get the most out of your running performance. Methods such as sports massage, strength and stretch techniques, running training and programs and referral where appropriate.

Greta has excelled in distance running on road, track, trail, sand, swim run and triathlon having podium placings in many iconic events over the past 20yrs in Australia and over seas. She has proven to be a swim run specialist in winning both NZ's Brecca Wanaka Swim Run and Swim Run Australia. Proudly sponsored by HOKA 2017 to current and previously New Balance 2007-2016, 2XU 2021-2023 and Suunto ANZ 2021 - 2023.

Most recently in 2021, Greta completed Pat Farmer’s 1000 Miles to Light multi-day team’s ultra raising funds for Reach Out Youth Mental Health, covering 400km in powering pace and spreading the message of humanity and resilience. Greta knows all too well the importance of proper training, programming, maintenance and health professionals to support a runner’s ambitions through all stages of life and at all levels. After serious knee and back injuries following horse riding falls - knee surgery at 17 y.o., and tremendous physio rehab & core stability work - Greta was able to commence competitive running in her twenties.

Greta is going strong and looking forward to much more training and racing in the coming years.

Greta has been a running specialist & running program writer on the support crew for Michelle Bridges 12 Week Body Transformation (12WBT), online nutrition, exercise and mindset program from 2012-15. She has helped thousands of people learn to run and achieve marathon & ultra distances. 

Greta loves food and cooking and was a semi-finalist contestant with "Running Hot" team mate Dean Degan on the Channel 7 reality cooking show: Aussie BBQ Heroes Dec 2015:

  • 100km debut Sydney International 2nd female 8:49 Worlds B qualifier (ranked 23rd all time Aus female). Berlin 100km IAU World Champs 2022 8:52 women’s team 11th on the world stage.

  • Comrades debut 2023 Sth Africa 88km 1800m 7:43, Bill Rowan medal (not far off Silver sub 7.30), 59th female, biggest ultra in world

  • 10k AA certified road distanceLaunceston Ten 36:46 8th female 2008 (special event with starter gun by Kerryn McCann who sadly passed away later that year)

  • Sydney City to Surf 54:27 (best place out of 6 races - 23rd female)

Trail / Ultras

  • 1000 Miles to Light relay style, covering 400km each (during Covid) with Aussie team Pat Farmer, Deirdre Hopkins, Justin McDonald and American team Dean Karnazes, Katie and Sam. I ran 400km in 10 days (biggest week of 280km), 5km pace ave mostly off road round Singleton Army Base.

  • 2nd 30k Coastal Classic 2018, Royal National Park, from Maximum Adventure: "Katie Conlon finished over 8 minutes clear of the tight tussle for 2nd with Greta Truscott holding off Bronwyn Hager by 8 seconds… it was the quickest podium in the history of the event". 2nd again behind Steph Austen in 2021.

  • 3rd 65k ultra West Mac Monster, Larapinta Trail 2021

  • 4th Ultra Trail Australia Blue Mts Pace 22k 2017

  • 4th Six Foot Track 45k Blue Mountains debut 2016 (missed 3rd place by 20secs!!)
