Therapeutic sports massage
Sports massage is the best and most commonly used form of massage for runners & triathletes, as it is the most beneficial to aid recovery and reduce the potential for injury. Sports massage utilises deep tissue and remedial massage techniques (i.e. trigger point, friction and myofascial techniques) to lengthen or free up muscles, associated connective tissue and joints and assist removal of waste products from the muscles. Stretching and strengthening techniques are also used.
