1000 Miles to Light with Pat Farmer

Against all odds in Covid times, this event went ahead supported by The Australian Army on Singleton Army Base in NSW. 2 teams of 4 runners from Australia (Pat Farmer, Greta Truscott, Deirdre Hopkins, Justin MacDonald) and America (Dean Karnazes, Shan Riggs Samantha Pruitt, Katie Visco) ran 1000 miles per team (400km per runner) across a multi day event to inspire resilience, hope and light and that we can achieve in the toughest of times. They have raised over $65,000 for Reach Out youth mental health. Over 2,700 runners participated in this run virtually through Running Heroes with over 111,000km ran. You can read and listen through the epic journey of newspaper articles, podcasts and videos below. The 90minute movie will be coming out on Kayo Sports.
