Six Foot Track Official Camp hosted by Rejoov


Rejoov Runners will be hosting the official 6ft Track training camp over the weekend of 20-21st January 2018 (with the event itself scheduled for 10th March 2018). This camp is open to all runners from all clubs. 

For the camp you will be staying overnight in the very iconic Jenolan Caves House in shared or private accommodation, with buffet dinner and lunch included. You will gain access to most of the trail itself via our planned training run on Saturday and long run Sunday and you will be provided with invaluable advice and practical sessions around core strength, stretching, nutrition and generally what to expect on the big day.

Draft itinerary Sat 20th Jan:
12pm: Arrive in running gear and already fed earlier – camp debrief & info about the 6 foot course on the terrace, including chat from Tailwind's Gavin (6 Foot sponsor - Tailwind fluids are used on the 6 foot race stations so we recommend that you train with these)
12:30pm: Drills & stretch / Run from the finish back along the course and back – eg 8-12k
1:30pm: Stretching with Greta
2:00pm: Check in (lunch / snack DIY)
3:30pm: (45mins) Peter Sweeney, physio Bodymechanic - technique advice for running / walking parts 6 foot.. uphill .. downhill .. Injury management advice. Plus strength & conditioning session including key core strength x's, stretches and self massage techniques
4.30-5pm Hoka owner chat on shoes
5:00pm: Happy hour and ultra marathon nutrition talk by Georgie Moore (45mins) 
6:00pm: Buffet dinner and trivia

Sun 21st Jan:
6:30am: Car Pool to Deviation (35km mark of the 6ft track course)
7am: Long run up to 4hrs max reverse along the course and back (no further than cox’s river)
11am: Car pool back / check out
12pm: Buffet Lunch and goal setting / training assistance chat.
1:00pm: close
